Come into the walled gardens of West Horsley Place and creatively explore its visual, and tactile delights. You will have exclusive access for the day to this historic and inspirational space. Relax, breathe, listen, let go of expectations and tune into the beauty of your surroundings. You will be guided through simple mindful meditation exercises to awaken the senses. You will be encouraged to experiment with mixed media to make a series of small abstract studies inspired by the colours, shapes and sensations of the garden. You will be using watercolour, inks, coloured pens, pencils and pastels, as well as the natural materials themselves (drawing with twigs, pressing petals and crushing leaves onto the paper for colour, finding dew drops of water, using moss like a sponge - all can be a playful part of the process). Suitable for all.
